Rick Sanchez is against Richwine

The man's got teeth
Longtime iSteve reference Rick Sanchez finally has a paying gig, apparently. His contribution to the Great Richwine Debate:
Rick Sanchez: Remove The Bias And Let Latinos Get In The Conversation
By Rick Sanchez
Fox News Latino
... The immigration debate is already emotionally charged and colored enough by political rhetoric on each side. We don’t need groups like the Heritage Foundation throwing gasoline on the fire. We don’t need studies grounded in racist and wrong philosophies. ...
I suppose Hispanics should be grateful that somebody (heck, anybody) took the time to ask their opinion on immigration because it rarely happens. If you watch most news shows, you’ll see that Latinos are rarely invited as guests to discuss or weigh in on the immigration debate.
(While Latinos make up roughly 17 percent of the U.S. population, a review of guests on 13 evening cable news shows on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC last month by Media Matters reveals that these networks overwhelmingly host male and non-Hispanic white guests, with Fox News scoring the highest at 3 percent, while CNN and MSNBC followed with only 2 percent.)
... Ask any economist worth his pedigree and he will tell you that to remain vibrant, our country needs a young and motivated labor force.
Unfortunately, economists, like Latinos, are also too often left out of the immigration debate in favor of politicians pundits. Not only would economists make the immigration discussion more interesting, they would also make it smarter — unless of course they’re employed by the Heritage Foundation.

Welcome back, Rick! One suggestion: in all your immigration pieces, work in references to Emma Lazarus's poem. Just sayin' ...

But he did get "Vibrant" in there really quick. That ought to count for something.

"Rick Sanchez has returned as a columnist on Fox News Latino. Sanchez was offered a short term gig with the website, in which he is expected to provide insights into the Latino community. Fox News Latino coincidentally also launched in October 2010, the same month Sanchez was fired from CNN. Since joining Fox News Latino, he has appeared on the Fox News Channel as a contributor.[42] Ironically, in July 2009, Sanchez disparaged Hispanic employees of Fox News as having "sold out"[43] and in April 2009, suggested that the perpetrator of the 2009 Pittsburgh police shootings was influenced by Fox News.[44]"

"Ask any economist worth his pedigree and he will tell you that to remain vibrant"

so economists are now in the business of quantifying 'vibrancy'? "if we don't get another five million latinos in this state by 2030 the vibrancy index will take a hit of 30%!!!! it'll be a disaster, the economy can't take another vibrancy hit that big! last time that happened was the great depression!"

seriously i really have considered going into the multiculturalism business. you just have to spew drivel, memorise a couple of slogans/frequently used words and repeat yourself on it ad nauseum. nobody of any importance will ever call you out on it or just ask you "what does that even mean?" livin' the dream.

too bad i'm white.

Rick Sanchez: Remove The Bias And Let Latinos Get In The Conversation

Ricardo, let me explain to you how it works.

The people who run this country want all your people (Spanish speaking Catholics) to come to this country to do work with their hands and to consume as much junk (McDonalds/Coke/Walmart/mortgages etc) offered to them as possible.

The thinking/talking/writing about immigration...lets leave that to the Sephardic "Hispanics".

And now Ricardo, back you go to Mike Tyson's favorite Latin American country of bolivian.

Cheer up, being white's hardly a disqualifier. Just look at Timbo Wise.

Man that guy really is dumb as a post. The strained yet over-simple syntax, the cowering before punctuation-- all the linguistic hallmarks of the popular frat guy who decided too late in life for it to be possible that he had *something to say.* And by God we were going to hear it!

Though I have to say, I prefer my total frauds to be as patently fake as Ricky.

Wonder if Rick kept a running total of Jewish guests on 13 evening cable news shows on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC last month?

No. No he didn't. Rick loves big brother now, and that's all big brother wants.

What a country we live in.

That Obama attended a hateful church led by the nut Wright for 20 yrs is no problem. That he saw nothing wrong with schmoozing terrorist anti-American Bill Ayers is also no problem. That he hung around Marxists, who espouse an ideology that killed tens of millions in the 20th century, at Harvard is also no problem. That his main supporters were Zionist supremacists and neo-aristocratic homos and that he slavishly serves their interests is also no problem.

That guy can be president of America, commander-in-chief of all our air craft carriers, secret police, nukes, etc. No problemo. He can appoint people like Kagan who wants to do away with first amendment and Sotomayor, affirmative action baby who believes in laws favoring blacks and browns over whites.

THAT GUY can be president, but Jason Richwine cannot even work at Heritage Foundation!!
Liberals and Jews gleefully put a friend of Wright and Ayers in the white house in charge of our military and a conservative organization cannot even defend one of its own.

Conservatives are shit compared to Chechens.

Big fuss was made about how Dalton Trumbo had been blacklisted. Will history books say Sanchez was blacklisted by Jews?

Jews control history and use it to make themselves look good, so I guess not.

Since race is just a social construct, when will liberals construct the black race to be smarter and more responsible and less hostile and aggressive?

Surely a social construct can easily be reconstructed.

It's like I heard lots of men have been re-constructed to have babies.

And lots of Mexicans have been re-constructed to win 100 m races.

So, come on liberals, what are you waiting for? Get to socially re-constructing the blacks to be more likable.

I doubt those vibrant youths will be as motivated when they discover they're working to prop up social programs for elderly gringos, programs which won't exist anymore when they reach retirement age.

Let Latinos get in the conversation

Hey Rick: can they start the conversation by telling us why they litter so much? Even maricones know better than to litter, verdad?

"Unfortunately, economists, like Latinos, are also too often left out of the immigration debate in favor of politicians pundits."

From my observations as a non-American living in non-America, the entire immigration debate in the U.S. seems to be focused around Latinos. I could be wrong but I think it's a bit rich to claim that poor Latinos are being somehow "left out" of the political debate.

I would agree, though, that economists have been largely excluded from the debate. There is a good reason for that, though. Most non-compromised economists will tell you that low-skill immigration is generally a bad idea for a country. It lowers wages, pushes the native-born out of jobs, reduces productivity and drains state coffers.

If you want a Third World future, importing a Third World population is the way to do it.

Yeah, Rick, there hasn't been nearly enough condescension paid to Hispanics lately.

So sure, there must be all these verbally-gifted Hispanic Americans out there who just can't get in on the conversation, despite all that vibrant perspective. Despite the example of Rick Sanchez. It's Richwine's fault they aren't showing up.
Missed you, Rick.

Um, I'd settle for them holding regular (private sector) jobs, stop depending on welfare and staying out of jail...

We had this debate in 1991 about Latinos and our workforce. Yuji Aida argued that America was doomed if our workforce became more Hispanic and black. While Irma Claudio assured us that:

Contrary to his skepticism about the emerging minority workforce`s ability to keep America afloat, we firmly believe that Hispanics and other minorities are advancing excellence in the American workplace.

Now 22 years later, can we at least go back and discuss those arguments before doubling down on current policy?

"racist and wrong" - alright they are all going from the same playbook now.

I've mentioned this before. Why won't our side come out with the numbers? From 1607 to 1960, we had around 42 million, overwhelmingly European immigrants. From 1965 to the present, we've had around 50 million, overwhelmingly non-European immigrants.

The open borders supporters do not acknowledge this. They act like the USA has been boarded up and that it needs to allow in immigrants else it won't be vibrant. Well if the USA is not vibrant yet, after 48 years and 50 million immigrants plus their descendants, it will never be vibrant.

No friend or family member I have ever spoken to has any concept about these numbers. Most, who have been raised on Ellis Island kitsch, are downright flabbergasted when I tell them that Mexico has sent more immigrants in 35 years than all the Germans, Italians and Irish combined in 400. They simply have no comprehension of this, nor do they fully understand chain migration and how legalizing one today results in another4 to 8 due to familial links. It helps to remind them that our ancestors where never offered familial unification. Bottom line we need to discuss the numbers.

Yeah, good point. Even blacks get left out of the immigration debate. Now, that's saying something, in America.
